@Mike_kim714 I hover around low 80s. I broke 80 twice. It’s definitely my short game that needs the most work. I do most of my chipping with a 60 but I think I might need to switch that to chipping with my 54… that’s kind of what I’m messing around with right now

Break 80: -It’s not about adding more shots. Get really good at the basic bump and the mid traj shots. Even for me, that’s about 90% of the short game shots I hit. -Read the lie. Into the grain, down grain? Soft or firm underneath. Use ur practice swing to gauge the lie. That’ll help determine the type of swing to make. If you need a super spinner or a flop, you made a mistake on ur 2nd shot. -Bunker: Practice a chunk and run 56 and a softer higher 60.

My own break 100 90 80 around the green 🧵 Break 100 -Use putter whenever possible. 56 degree if not. -For the bump and run with 56 Feet together. Feet about 1ft from the ball. Hands ahead of the ball and feel like it’s the body doing all the work. No hands no wrist. -Don’t worry about getting it super close. Focus on good contact. (For good contact hands have to stay ahead and head to stay tall)

I Won My US Open Local Q today I shot 66 today to win the US Open Local qualifying out of 132 players. My two goals today were 1) to have no expectations. I haven’t been able to play as much as I’d like, so I told myself repeatedly today to have no expectations. We can only become frustrated with ourselves if we place expectations on outcomes. 2) do not be a puppet to results. I just accepted every shot that was hit and was not going to get emotional about results. I truly did not care if I hit a bad shot if I had a good process. And yes I hit numerous poor shots. However, if I had a good decade target, stuck to my routine, and committed to the shot then I was able to accept any result that occurred. Maybe there’s something to learn in there. 1 step away from the US Open.
