@MisanAtake @DanishPrinceDK @justaguy0507 I DO enjoy the combat shrines in TOTK specifically. Being stripped of all my gear and having to fuse things i find in the shrine to power myself back up was really fun... Could've been a cool rogue like side mode where you climb a tower of those rooms...

@DanishPrinceDK @IFK_0mega @justaguy0507 Well that’s the general design of the game due to them trying to hammer its all sheikah technology. A lot of them feel unique bar the combat ones which are skill checks for the player

@IFK_0mega @justaguy0507 I think the abilities we get at the start of TOTK should have been the dungeon abilities. Would have made doing the dungeon more rewarding + making them fully use one specific power

@MisanAtake @justaguy0507 Its not the size. They're just so simple. Especially in botw. Doesn't help that all the bosses are versions of ganon and thus are all visually similar. Big thing I think totk improved

@IFK_0mega @justaguy0507 The ability issue with the dungeons is more an issue with the overall dungeon design but I think people heavily underrate the dungeons in the wild era because they are smaller than previous entries

@IFK_0mega @justaguy0507 closest we've had to proper harmony between nonlinear progression and dungeon items... might be Cadence of Hyrule? which is fine by me cuz that game rules

@MisanAtake @justaguy0507 I disagree because those abilities hold back the dungeon design. Walk into a room. Check magnesis, check for water etc. Combine this with their fear of dungeon keys for some reason and you get a dungeon thats just alright at best.
