Attending class with @StJude_CCSD Gr. 3/2 in the forest. Students found a new plant friend to interview. We learned that Indigenous wisdom teaches us that plants are not an "it" & so we asked them their names. Speaking kindly to a plant reminds us that we are all interconnected.

Today we were honoured with the blessing of the land by CSSD District Elder, Wanda First Rider. It will be a sacred space for teaching, learning and healing and is appropriately named after Wanda as “Elder Wanda First Rider, Pukaki, Little Woman, Healing Garden”. @CCSD_Indigenous
