Doing some digging uncovered that there was an incident and it looks like CI minutes will be reset. Thank you in advance for fixing things, despite the lack of communications thus far.

I paid for GitLab for several years for my small not-for-profit project, despite it being one of my largest expenses, largely for more CI time. I finally decide I can't afford to keep paying and this happens. Am I going to be forced to give you more money for CI or support?

@gitlab a CI job of mine on shared runner hung after the actual job, taking only 47s between prepare_executioner and cleanup_file_variables, but wasted almost my whole month compute on the 3rd of the month. Should I have to buy more compute cause your runner hung for 2.5hr?

@gitlab Today’s incident depleted nearly all of my free CI/CD compute minutes. Are there any plans to “refund” affected users, i.e., by globaly resetting all compute minutes back to 0? It’s only the 3rd of this month, so why not? :)

We have been closely monitoring individuals who have subscribed to Twitter (X?) Blue and their reports on the payout program. We are seeing individuals with roughly the same follower count as us making approx. $4,000 a month (or more depending on the content they discuss online). We are now experimenting with this as well. All money received will be given back to the community who has so graciously shown us love and support. Ideally, we want to gift merchandise, books, reimburse for certificates, give money to cyber-security related non-profits, and (if payouts are indeed as good as they appear) gift individuals with tickets to conferences. Malware source code, samples, papers, free forever. And now... maybe more? :) If the results are not fruitful, we will scrap our Twitter Blue subscription.
