@nevimvole161 They had an agreement with Apple i guess, who supplied the laptops, but they didn't want everyone just using the same gear. Many machines that needed to appear to work had apple 180c guts stuffed into them so that they could display pre-generated content.

@HackersCurator Thanks! I just thought they worked in the movie all along. That's why I thought Toshiba and Compaq had the PowerBook boards for that reason. If they didn't work, why did they go to the trouble of combining so many computers?

@nevimvole161 Mainly so I can make everything work somewhat how they were represented. The props in the film weren't really functional. Anything where it looks like they were was macromedia animations or plain old movie magic. Its also more interesting for me this way 😀

@HackersCurator Very nice! Just a question, why do you mod them with RasPI and not leave them as original Powerbooks? I've also seen a rebuild of Nikon and Dade's computers that are based on the PowerBook in the movie, but you build then with RasPI.

It's finally done. Video will drop eventually... gotta try to recover some footage.
