There are at least a dozen people spending at least several hours attacking GrapheneOS across platforms on a daily basis. It's a very strange situation. How do these people have so much time and dedication to keep making posts across platforms attacking us? It's relentless.

You don’t need to trust Signal. That’s the whole point.
The protocol is open source. The clients are open source. The server is open source. Independent cryptographers have audited the Signal Protocol repeatedly, and it remains the gold standard for end-to-end encryption.
Signal also supports reproducible builds - meaning you can compile the source code yourself and verify it produces the exact same binary distributed on app stores.
Trust is for closed systems.

Google has now said they will provide an opt-out.
The problem is, they have not yet said how difficult it will be to opt out.
We do know it will require logging into your Google Account, and completing some special request to be opted out.
One concern is that governments could block that option, and that Google might use GPS to enforce it.

I am still missed off that Google is going to require Android devs to get verified.
fdroid team wrote an open letter against this, but obviously, Google doesn't give a fuck.

🚨 Google wants to force every Android developer to register with them, even if you never touch the Play Store. We signed the open letter opposing this alongside EFF, Proton, F-Droid, Tor Project, and 30+ others. Android's openness is non-negotiable.
