@briggityboppity Look into the reciprocal thing closely. Sometimes there are local exclusions. We belong to the Chicago botanical garden and it has all these other free ones but the other local places on the big list are excluded.

Yup Chicago has Hatzolah too. And private "community security" complete with patrols and drones.
Hatzolah I've had no negative interactions with and never heard anything bad from anyone else. The security and drones make a lot of people uneasy though.

New York Jews also have their own Hatzolah ambulances. In 1991, race riots erupted after a 7 yr old black boy was hit by a car escorting a ‘grand rabbi’ that ran a red light. The Hatzolah ambulance loaded the Jewish car driver but left the child behind to die in the street. Grim.

Growing up in Lincoln Park meant one of my first introductions to a bagel sandwich came at a spot where they steam the whole thing, the horror! Because of that I never cared much for bagel sandwiches but the ones at Zeitlin’s are pretty good. I’m fond of the sausage, egg, cheese.
