Everyone's up in arms over @elonmusk calling B-BBEE 'extremely racist'. He's not wrong. But over 20 years of data tells an even darker story.
Unemployment up. Black unemployment even worse. Crime exploding. Rural internet crippled. Starlink blocked because Elon isn't Black enough.
This is what happens when you put racial revenge over reality. ANC is starving its own people of safety, jobs, and tech, all to keep power.

@NadiaFerreira85 @BothaMiriam This!! I’ll never get the usefulness of this kind of thinking
English

@IuliaL27 @BothaMiriam You're describing low intellect Africans who are consumed with vengeance and keeping score since the 13th Century.
They want to kill you because, apparently, your ancestor from 1265 murdered their ancestor (whose name they don't know) in 1266.

I'm not interested in South Africa just because it's heartbreaking to watch a nation with so much raw potential get hollowed out, though it is.
I'm interested in South Africa because it's a warning of what happens when you replace merit with race, when grievance becomes policy, when forgiveness is skipped and revenge is dressed up as justice, and when you stop seeing individuals and start seeing groups.
That's not a South African problem. That's a human one. And the West is not as far from it as it thinks.

@Gabi09742 I wasn’t that aware of the situation in Brazil but thanks for telling me this!

Amamos a diversidade...

@Lebza1238 Funny you assume I’ve never been there and didn’t engage with all different kinds of wonderful people on the ground (and can’t believe it needs to be said, but yes, of all colors) because that’s how we actually stop hating on one another, but hey maybe that’s just me!
English

@IuliaL27 @RenciaQDev It's not a South African problem only it's a western world problem orchestrated by the globalist elites WEF gang of criminals and you're right the west is not far off following our footsteps thanks to MI6 CIA and the bankers backing

Data cuts both ways.
Yes, JSE senior execs and CEOs are still disproportionately White. Commercial farmland ownership is heavily skewed that way too, and Black unemployment remains far higher than White unemployment. Those are real disparities.
But they’re the result of more than 30 years of BEE, racial quotas, cadre deployment, and grievance-driven policies that were supposed to fix them. If prioritizing race over competence actually worked, those gaps should have narrowed dramatically by now. Instead, we’ve seen a small politically connected elite get rich while the Black majority stays trapped in poverty and high unemployment.
Eskom is a perfect example. It wasn’t just one man who ran it into the ground, but years of cadre deployment and race-over-competence appointments played a huge role. The recent improvement under new leadership is welcome, but it proves the point: good management and merit-focused decisions work, no matter the skin color.
English

Have you see the demographics of CEO’s on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, have you seen the unemployment rate by race, what about farm ownership by race, or the ownership of land by race in South Africa? Provide some examples of people being hired based on race as opposed to merit in South Africa. Which data are you using to support your baseless arguments about South Africa?
Let me give you a case study to look into. Eskom was run into the ground by Andre De Ruyter and his cronies until a few years ago. Luckily he left and now Eskom has turned around thanks to the good work of black leaders and engineers who have earned their position and are doing a great job.

@IuliaL27 @BothaMiriam You have a lot to learn about SA. You sound very entitled and want to be superior, not anymore!

@mangenamchunu_1 Thank you for the honor of grouping me with one of the greats!

@Locks_n_THE_Key My ancestors fought the ottomans for nearly 500 years for Ursula and co to open up to flood gates a few centuries later… so I totally understand the frustration
English

@IuliaL27 The entire West is long being gutted completely by the black jihadist-communist RACISM.
Europeans have forgotten all about their 1000's of yrs of learning the hard way about JIHAD JIZYA DHIMMI'ING and the subsequent black & other (include esp asian) racism that flows out from it
English

Hit a nerve, huh? My post was a straightforward warning about replacing merit with race-based grievance, something that’s hollowed out SA regardless of who’s in power. You skipped all that to attack my motives, call me talentless, and hope Elon won’t notice. Classic.
I’m not here for ‘right-wing grifter clout’ but hey, you’re entitled to your opinion! I’m here because patterns like this repeat if we ignore them. That’s the point. And dismissing ideas with personal attacks doesn’t make them wrong. Keep proving it though. The cycle continues.
English

Girl, please. 😂
You're “interested” in South Africa because it is the topic du jour in right-wing grifter circles.
You're “interested” in South Africa because you imagine it as an easy vehicle for popularity, and clout in the broader global white replacement theory grifters community.
You're “interested”
in South Africa, because you imagine your “interest” will generate you a following and notability in that community. And, you hope, Elon Musk will notice you.
It isn’t. It won't. He won’t.
Baby, you are nothing special Padawan with little talent in a saturated market of white replacement theory charlatans and grifters. You bring nothing distinctive, captivating or interesting to say or write. No depth, no originality, no edge, no insight. Boring. Warm water on a hot day. Unsalted crackers let open in the cupboard. Sliced 3-day old bread with no spread.
We’ve seen so many like you. Yet another random grifter thinking we will take them great.
We won’t. You are not interesting enough.
Enjoy the momentary spike in engagement from
South Africa. By day’s end, you will forgotten and will remain as bottom rung as you started.

@IuliaL27 @ErnstRoets Thank you for an entitled opinion that means much to you and nothing to us

I have zero problem with the concept of redress in theory. My issue is that in practice, it’s too often co-opted by socialist/Marxist elements and turned into permanent group-based redistribution. How long until it’s enough? Who gets to decide which groups still qualify, and where does that slippery slope end when literally everyone can point to ancestors who were oppressed?
Government-mandated versions haven’t delivered the results we hoped for. Even in places like Germany you see old resentments bubbling back up. My parents lived under a dictatorship and had it rough too, but playing the eternal victim game doesn’t fix anything.
I think we ought to try seeing the actual value in the human in front of you. Someone asked me whether I’d hire him if he met all my criteria but he supported the ANC in another comment and I said absolutely yes and here’s why. Say you hire a guy who’s a killer performer (Black, White, whatever). You start admiring his work because he hits every criteria. He makes you money, you begin to admire him/her for their work ethic, perhaps it motivates you to be a better boss, you give him/her a raise and promotion, and so on and so efforts. That builds real friendship, camaraderie, partnership. Mutual benefit that can last a lifetime.
But none of that happens if you write him off from day one based on who he voted for, what group he’s from, or historical beef. You lose a great worker, a great connection, and everyone is poorer for it.
That’s why I believe we could see far more success treating each other as individuals instead of top-down government mandates. Merit and human connection beat group score-settling every time. That’s the warning in my post.
English

@thembazondi735 @IuliaL27 Apartheid was an abomination but there is no excuse what the ANC has done. They have largely perpetuated that abomination. It's disgusting.

South Africa is repeating the mistakes of Rhodesia / Zimbabwe.
The European population built the country, but was forced out by external pressure.
The African population took control, but lacked the ability to maintain the 1st world infrastructure. Now they fight over the scraps of the decaying country.
