A very simple and respectful point of clarification. What heโs saying is that those who went to Washington to meet with the Trump administration and want to ask for a $500 billion line of credit in order to separate Alberta from Canada should be considered traitors. How about:
- One word condemning what the entire democratic world recognized as stolen Venezuelan elections in 2019 and 2024?
- One word condemning the arbitrary arrest and imprisonment of Venezuelan opposition leaders?
- One word condemning the Maduro regimeโs appalling violations of human rights?
- One word of concern for the humanitarian catastrophe that turned one of the richest countries in the world into one of the poorest, forcing ~9 million Venezuelans to flee?
The truth is that the left in Canada, including the NDP, have always been cheerleaders for the โwarm collectivismโ of โBolivarian socialism,โ to your partyโs great shame.
This weekend tens of thousands of Canadians who came here as refugees from Venezuela are going to be dancing with joy. I encourage you to go and meet some of them, and tell them that the NDP wants el caudillo Nicholas Maduro returned to power.

Canada has the best deal on US tariffs.
But forestry, auto, steel, aluminum are hit hard, & all tariffs are damaging. We're also the most exposed in the G7, with 71% of exports going to the US.
Our work: rapidly diversify markets while also maintaining the best possible deal.

We got a higher percentage of the vote since Mulroney, thatโs the reason the Liberals want him gone.
