*** Coordinated Disclosure and the Findlay Complaint *** Katy Merrifield is working on Caroline Elliott's BC Conservative leadership campaign, having joined after resigning as Pierre Poilievre's Director of Communications in early April 2026, days before the complaint was filed April 17. Elliott is Findlay's direct competitor in the same race. The Commissioner's office has published no names. BIV published no names. The complaint's contents are confidential under the Canada Elections Act, and only the complainant is not bound by that confidentiality. Merrifield's phrase "named in the allegations" requires knowledge of the complaint's contents, not its media coverage. The factual question: a senior communications professional working for a rival leadership candidate publicly named an individual from a confidential Elections Canada filing during an active voting window. Where did that information come from? hrm...

Broadway businesses are getting crushed while this government hides behind delays and excuses. Months of blocked access, diverted traffic, lost customers, empty storefronts, now businesses are shutting down. Today, I asked a simple question in the Legislature: How many more businesses have to fail before this government finally offers relief? Check out my exchange 👇🏽

🚨 BREAKING NEWS!!! 🚨 Mark Carney just voted AGAINST protecting private property rights in land claims. He's telling government lawyers that they are not allowed to fight to protect your home ownership. You pay your mortgage and your property tax. Your property rights should be protected!

I had someone ask me essentially “if the economy is so bad, how is it that the CPC could be down in the polls by so much”, People can believe multiple narratives at the same time. A) the economy is bad, B) Carneys not perfect, C) he’s similar enough to the CPC that it wouldn’t make much difference to them if the opposition became governing party so why not just stick with Carney We are in a political environment where there is a lot of economic distress but to capture that you must run on massive economic reform and communicate it with urgency. That’s the answer as to why the CPC isn’t capturing those gains from economic uncertainty.

Liberals told federal lawyers not to defend the property rights of people in BC. Without property rights, there are no economic rights. Today, Conservatives are forcing a vote to protect your home and your property. Join our fight: conservative.ca/cpc/protect-pr…

Canadians thought process is what’s the point in voting for the opposition when Mark Carney is already conservative enough. They already see him as change. I’m not sure if the CPC understands that or not. What won us 41.5% last election were low propensity voters (people who don’t typically vote), I think the CPC may be taking those voters for granted. They aren’t going to care enough to come out for mild change from Mark Carney.
Bryan Breguet@Prominent_Bryan

Liaisons has the Liberals at 43% and CPC at 31% Carney's approval at 59%, very much in line with Abacus Like I'm genuinely asking: what's the plan for the Conservatives? Just waiting for Carney to become unpopular? I'm not even saying I know what the CPC should do. But the situation seems just... Really bad? Canadian voters have just decided that they loved Carney and I'm not sure there is anything the CPC can do about it

@Prominent_Bryan @SomeGuy67791867 The only strategy that even remotely makes sense is to go for broke and be bold. It might not work, but the current strategy of proposing small tweaks to existing policy will not work.

Join the Kerry-Lynne Findlay momentum movement and vote today in the BC Conservative Leadership Election if you haven’t already. In the Cowichan case affected area in Richmond, I know firsthand how much this vote really means to us here and everyone else concerned about private property in this province. We need KLF’s experience and strong bold leadership, because things are just so bad in this province right now and we can’t afford any less.

Great to see you in BC, @PierrePoilievre! I have known Pierre for a long time. He is a close friend and natural leader, well aware of the struggles of British Columbians. As Premier, I will work closely with a Conservative federal government to restore security, prosperity, freedom, and patriotic pride in British Columbia.

Her bravery? Like backing Kevin Falcon until the very end, being the VP of BC United. Supporting stronger Covid mandates, being the against the convoy, supporting some form of safe supply, not speaking out against SOGI until it was popular to do so. I’ll give her points on DRIPA. But to say she’s this extremely brave person against the political establishment is laughable. She is the political establishment. Honestly, I don’t even care she was wrong about a lot of things in the past, I just wish she would own up to it and say so. I was also wrong about some things during that time period.

@GurvSC Caroline is her own writer and editor. She’s built a fundraising and social media juggernaut unmatched in BC political history. Just because you don’t like her, doesn’t mean others don’t connect with her bravery on DRIPA and BC identity.

She’s great at fundraising and being very well connected politically. She sucks at actually being a politician, or relating to people. That’s why people can’t seem to like her. When I listen to KLF it doesn’t seem like she speaks any differently in private than in public, that’s her genuinely. When I listen to Caroline Elliot it doesn’t feel that way, it sounds like she’s reading a script concocted by backroom insiders. On top of that add everything else Anthony already outlined and it’s obvious why people have a problem with her.

The way she operates isn’t right as Anthony already stated. Skipping the Juno news debate, never admitting to making a mistake, etc. I also don’t get a good vibe from her personally, I don’t feel that when she speaks it’s genuine. With Kerry-Lynne Findlay it’s the complete opposite for me. She really seems like she’s fighting for us 100%, there’s something about that I really respect.

@GurvSC Here is my view on Caroline. I believe that she needs more experience and she may well be good. Needs a good 6-8 years as MLA and cabinet minister and she'll still be young enough to run for premier. If she loses, the worst thing she could do is to not run as MLA.

@GurvSC Okay I agree but Calling Mario a liberal is ridiculous of course. Unfortunately he’s being played but I would never call him a liberal. He is fighting for everything and bringing the news that the mainstream media won’t.
