A happy what would have been 63rd birthday to former UTEP head coach Dana Dimel. A good man we lost in December. I know he is looking after Luke up there, and I know from time to time, he needs a little looking after himself! So take care of him, Luke.

There’s something I’d like to address before returning on-air after time away from the desk. My mother, Diane, died unexpectedly over the holiday. My heart hurts and it still doesn’t feel real. I get emotional at all the wrong times as I try to navigate this world without her.

My youngest daughter attends KState and loves to thrift. She picked this up at Goodwill shortly after DD passed and gave it to me for Xmas. Wore it tonight for the first time tonight. Thanks for the win Coach. @KStateFB
