@padsbigsis We have similar on our local residents FB page. We have developed a good friendship with the administrator of the group who kindly takes down offensive posts at our request. They are very demoralising when they are posted.

I know it’s “just a job”, I shouldn’t take it so personally, and things are incredibly tough for people who are unwell at the moment, but when I see our practice getting slated on Facebook, it really makes me want to just walk away.

@keester76 @DrRoppyRop @Fluent_Medical @padsbigsis And the BMA recommendation is only 25 appt a day so not an issue. We’ve been 15mins and patient choice on f2f or telephone since December and works far better both from 10min pre-CV and also doubling up on patients needing tel and then f2f.

@DrRoppyRop @Fluent_Medical @padsbigsis Yes, I certainly understand that. The problem is that many GPs may do in excess of 40 consultations per day. That would be significantly reduced by making them all 15 minutes long. That would mean access to appointments would be even more strained.

We took the plunge and scrapped total triage 2 weeks ago. The relief is immense for GPs, receptionists and, from what I’ve heard so far, patients. Can choose F2F or phone. Access via E-consult, phone or walk in. Also gone to 15 min appointments. Back to the job I love. #TeamGP

@LoudbirdPR @KTL01 @elaine_patten As a GP myself I can sympathise with you - we have had multiple clinicians off with CV the last 4 weeks. However with very few locum GPs available there is no extra staff and nowhere to put patients. We are only human. We will fit in as many as we can but it’s never enough.

@KTL01 @elaine_patten My family has had a nightmare the past couple of weeks with the nhs- our doctor’s surgery is basically telling people they are closed - go to hospital or ring 111 if you need a doctor. We’ve been to hospital A&E twice in 2 weeks when a doctor would’ve been able to help
