@JohnnyBoi4lyfe @Brian146988 @SleeperYankees You're right. Volpe has underperformed. I don't really think he's a much better option than Caballero. But he'll be healthy, and I think he'll be a little more consistent. But I could totally be wrong. Either way, we need a better answer at SS.
English

@JMozloom @Brian146988 @SleeperYankees Wait no you dont get a passs. Why would you just volpe will hit .242 when his career average is closer to .222?
You cant agree without acknowledging the fault in your logic. You hope volpe is a .240 hitter but factually he falls short of that

@Brian146988 @SleeperYankees Hahahaha. You know they'll start Volpe. How many years did they keep Gary Sanchez, hoping he'd become a catcher?
English

@JMozloom @SleeperYankees Same I don't think Caballero is the answer either, but I do think he does more things to contribute to winning than volpe does at the moment. Hopefully that changes since it doesn't seem they are ready to give up on volpe yet.
English

@Brian146988 @SleeperYankees I completely agree. I just don't think Caballero is the answer. I'd like to see Volpe hit 275 and get on base a lot more. If he did that, I wouldn't care if he didn't hit a homer all year.
English

@JMozloom @SleeperYankees Volpe has a career batting average of .222. He will hit for more power, but not everything always has to be about more power. Volpe would be a much more effective player if he hit .260 or higher, with more sb since he would be on base more, and score more runs.
English

@MissYankee This has been true for years. Cashman is in love with players who hit .200 with 25 home runs.

@Fat_Electrician Except they won't keep anyone in. They'll leave and the revenue will dry up. It's as predictable as the sunrise.

@JustinReady A solution in search of a problem. But that's 95 percent of what they do in Annapolis. Moral exhibitionism.
