In some good news, I’m told that dialogue between the group behind Save @FurmanBaseball and the #Furman administration is very much open and the two sides are talking on a road to reinstatement. The group hopes to start by raising $5 Million. Long way to go, but progress.

The University and athletics department never wanted it to be saved.
The comments from up there from the administration were disingenuous from the beginning.

The "Save Furman Baseball" organization has been informed it will not be given the chance to fund-raise to save the program: "It’s unfortunate the administration will not consider a path forward for us to maintain Furman Baseball... All we have asked for is a chance.”

Our 124 year old program has amazing history. The baseball field was one of the first things built on the current campus. This is the history that the current @FurmanU administration does not value and is throwing away without a second thought. #SaveFUbaseball
