I just came across a tender invitation from the Kenya Rural Roads Authority for upgrading roads to bitumen standards. It really shocked me to see how resources were shared in the past. What do you mean all roads to be upgraded to bitumen standard were in the same region? You can accuse President Ruto of many things, but sidelining one region for development is not one of them. For the first time since independence, every part of the country is feeling included. People in Northern Kenya now feel like they truly belong, just like everyone else. The bitterness you see is mostly coming from a group that was used to special treatment. When you’ve enjoyed privilege for so long, fairness can feel like oppression. This is a narrative that politicians use to gain people's support to stay in office. Leaders must be accountable. We have systems in Kenya and no one will suffer because your tribesmen are in power. We have devolution and those governors are doing nothing in counties. Wakwende kabisa.

This is how unfair and unjust the government resources were distributed in the past. Uhuru had the guts to advertise tarmacking of rural roads in Central Kenya ONLY. The same people who enjoyed government resources ALONE are today lecturing the leaders of North Eastern how undeveloped NE is. William Ruto stands for fair sharing of government resources. We all Kenyans.
