Good to see the Greens finally backing โbreaking the linkโ - between gas pricing and green energy. And backing equalising capital gains tax with income tax - so that we tax money made with money at the same rate as money made with a pair of hands.
Two policies straight out of my โbookโ along with green populism which he does so well. And now rent control, hardly anyone talks about this, we have measures for energy poverty and food poverty (and millions suffer them) but nothing for rent poverty despite absurd amounts percentages of income being spent by millions on private rents.
Thereโs a lot to like in the new Green approach.

This singling out of a minority community is deeply dangerous and inflammatory. It demonises British Muslims at a time when they already face hostility. Words from those in public office do not exist in a vacuum, they carry real world consequences.
