@JeffGilb@PJ_Marcum To that end, I think that post and others like it are quite important.
You can call is griping, sure, but it's a list of things you need to be prepared to tell your org "No" unless you/they are prepared to build it themselves.
"Sorry, that's not modern, it's wrongthink."
@kaidja@PJ_Marcum True, but trying to compare SCCM (or the way it did things) to today's world isn't going to ever work. It's like shopping for a Surface in the Apple store. On-premises-v-Cloud-based management is two different worlds. I've been around since SMS 1.2, but it's time to move on.
@JLefebvreGloben@sejesok@IntuneSuppTeam Yeah the ones I showed at MMS were basically demo ones. I’m going to revive my blog at some point soon so I’ll put this at the top of the list
@JeffGilb@sejesok@IntuneSuppTeam I saw your remediation for devices missing Autopatch, but not the other way around... so if you happen to be able to share, I'll gladly test that solution!
Hey @IntuneSuppTeam, let's say I would like to roll back patching to #ConfigMgr after a device has been enrolled in #Autopatch. What would be the official/recommended way of doing this? Only successful way I found is to delete the device in Intune.
@sejesok@JLefebvreGloben@IntuneSuppTeam The transition from one to the other doesn’t always go very smoothly so I have remediations for both directions. Most of the time I’ve been able to just remove the device from autopatch and the software updates workload and it reverts though. I need to blog this stuff
@JLefebvreGloben@IntuneSuppTeam We had a device do this during a pilot, when we started testing the workload shift back to Configmgr on more devices we were not able to recreate it though. is this the Windows scan source issue noted in Configmgr KB32851084? @JeffGilb
Maybe I shouldn't post this because I haven't made my reservation yet but if you want an amazing dinner in Nashville during @mmsmoa this place it a "must try".... jimmykellys.com
Debating with myself about whether or not to restart the Charlotte area systems management user group. Device management-minded folks near Charlotte, NC what say you?
@AdamGrossTX@robdotyork@JasonSandys I think it's generally decision makers/people who don't understand what Intune is and the change in mindset necessary to make it successful. Add the politics of those who've made careers on the status quo and hybrid is no longer a bridge.
@PotentEngineer Go through the existing GPOs and find what you HAVE TO bring to Intune and add those settings to a new blank GPO. Import that GPO only to Intune group policy analytics and create a new policy. That way you only need to search one policy for old GPO settings.
