@AutumnK2022 People leave reviews for DNFs? This is news to me! I can’t even get myself to rate a book if I feel like I didn’t give it a fair chance (usually half-listening to audiobooks while doing other things).

Readers of Twitter, I'm curious to know. How many of you pick up a book, read 10-20 pages of it, then after deciding it's not for you, go online to post a negative review? Is this normal for people to do now?

This! It’s a constant up and down wrapped up with a feeling of disappointment and not being good enough. I’m glad we are recognising how different people are and how different success looks for each person

@DrunkScribe @thelitlassy I always think I can write a book by hand, then start and cramp or get frustrated after about a page. I realised it was just a procrastination technique for me like choosing the perfect font to write an outline 😅

@kat_tastic I’ve done this for books that have super long chapters. I have a system with my bookmark to remember where I am, but it’s always at the start of a new paragraph
