Australia's richest person, Gina Rinehart, literally doubled down on her stake today. The Asset: $ARU is building the Nolans Rare Earths Project—a massive, 38-year mine producing NdPr Oxide(the critical magnet material for EVs and wind turbines). Strategic global asset. The Signal: Rinehart poured A$125M into the deal, boosting her stake to ~15.7%. She bought at a 25% discount, confirming the project's long-term value. The CRITICAL Catch: This deal shows poor management behavior. They gave massive institutional money (Rinehart) a huge discount, causing the stock to drop and effectively punishing existing retail shareholders, me included. The execution of this capital raise prioritizes guaranteed funding over shareholder value. Bottom line: The asset is strategic, but the cap raise execution was retail-unfriendly. I’m in, but negative on the current management team's priorities, and I have no intentions to tell you I'm bullish AF. Bought during US-China tensions.
