@KingsLeadSM Kings need talent. Dybantsa, Peterson, Wilson if you are top three or any of the mentioned falls to you outside of that range. But if it comes down to the come down... And Acuff is the best available, YOU TAKE HIM and cry zero tears. It's not like we dont need a PG.

The NBA presented three comprehensive anti-tanking concepts to its Board of Governors on Wednesday, with modifications expected to each before a formal vote in May, per ESPN sources. 1. 18 teams in draft lottery (seeds 7-15 in each conference) – flattened odds, with bottom 10 teams having an 8% chance, the remaining 20% odds distributed in decreasing order for 11 through 18, and and a lottery drawing for all 18 picks. 2) 22 teams in lottery using 2-year record (seeds 7-15, plus the four playoff first round exits in both conferences). Lottery teams would reach a minimum win total floor in each season, such as 25 wins. If a team falls short of the floor, it gets slotted to meet the floor. Top 4 drawn as part of lottery, as is currently. 3) 18 teams in a "5 by 5" lottery – bottom 5 teams have equal odds for the top pick, with lottery formed for picks 1-5. Bottom 5 teams have a floor at 10; those that fall out of top 5 get sorted in a separate drawing.

Why isn't Darius Acuff Jr part of the "established top 5"? Also, I think people are misinterpreting my report as Acuff is up there with AJ Dybantsa or Cam Boozer as potential #1 picks. I do not believe that's the case.

@CarmichaelDave Yeah BUT.... Kings are essentially building from scratch. If this were singles tennis, one guy can change trajectory overnight. It's not, LOL and the team is many pieces away from any form of contention. Skipping a lot of steps talking title and that has been the issue. BPA!

Look at Cam Thomas. Dude is an absolute BUCKET and the Bucks released him today. The Grizz couldn’t move Ja The Hawks couldn’t wait to move Trae Lavine is an IMPOSSIBLE contract to move yet he averages 25 on 50/45/90 in his SLEEP. So when I’m looking at the draft, those are the lenses I’m looking through. Winning players. Guys you can win a title with. Not fun highlights (though you can have both)

17 of the top 19 when you sort for Points Allowed are above .500, with Golden State being one of the 2 below. Cross check that with teams sorted by PPG. You quite simply HAVE to play defense to contend in this league. Otherwise you’re fun highlights and empty calories.

The Kings taking Darius Acuff over any of (at least in my opinion) the established top five in this draft is an example of not BPA, or drafting for fit, but drafting for aura and hype moments

@JackBDann They are not picking this guy top 4. Probably not fifth. No need to start a bash campaign because a few reports suggest an interest from the Kings. SO WHAT??? We don't even know what pick they have yet. Are they not supposed to cover all bases? I don't get it...

Couldn’t agree more I can feel the fanbase falling in love with Acuff and no doubt he’s going to be fun, but can you win a title with him as your best player? The lack of defense is worrying
