I heard you on @OutnumberedFNC this “morning” (I’m in Colorado, so you're on at 1000hrs), and I know you mentioned the A-10 as an attack helicopter. Stationed at the USAFA in Colorado Springs, there is an A-10 mounted outside about a 1/2 mile inside the gate. You ARE NEVER wrong and I'm sure you just said it quickly, but the A-10 is not a helicopter. Were you thinking of the Apache helicopters? For everyone else: The A-10 Thunderbolt II, nicknamed "Warthog" or "Hog," is a twin-engine, fixed-wing aircraft developed in the 1970s and designed for close air support of ground troops, featuring heavy armor and a powerful 30mm rotary cannon.

Instead, I present a picture of LTC Shah, who was killed during a terrorist attack while teaching ROTC at his old college. His life came full circle yesterday — a moment recalling his youth when he graduated from Old Dominion University, where he received his 2LT bars (butter bars), and went on to serve our nation. Later in his career, he returned to teach at his alma mater, BUT that is also where his life was tragically cut short. His ROTC students were the ones who took down the terrorist. You prepared them well, Sir. “LTC Shah, Eternal rest grant him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen" ✝️

Today we recognize National K9 Veterans Day and honor the remarkable dogs who serve alongside those sworn to protect our communities and our country.
