@ezreeszy In the App Store "free" just means free to download, it has never had any meaning regarding actual business model of the app (free to use, freemium, free trial, demo mode, etc)

@KabukiVision I would've probably dropped that 5 bucks after a 7d trial, if it proved useful (which I predict it would've been, I really like the execution). But starting a customer relation with such a low punch, busted any chance on that.

PSA: Don't list your app as "free", if it can't be used at all without purchasing a $5 "unlock". No trial period, no "2 widgets then upgrade". Nothing. Your app's $5. Not free. Major dick move @KabukiVision 💩

@ezreeszy My goal was to make it easy for people to download the app and check it out for free at no risk up front, then purchase to unlock if they like it. I'm not sure why you're approaching this assuming this was some purposefully bad-faith move.

@SethSandler Tap the tile next to the empty space to move it into the empty space. Dragging isn’t supported in interactive widgets, although I think tapping is a bit easier anyway.

@KabukiVision What's the user interaction? Does dragging work on widgets?

@KabukiVision You can also try to have only one copy of the app with the same CFBundleVersion anywhere on the system. If multiple exist (like debug and release builds) the one Launch Services picks to try to load your resources from is indeterminate.

When people use our apps, it’s easy to underestimate the amount of time a seemingly simple change/feature might take to implement. As this message (posted by me in a Slack group) shows, things not always work the way they’re supposed to. I spent a good 4 hours on this issue.
