The biggest controversy in fandoms post 2020 were ship wars and calling each others waifus/husbandos trash.
Ppl didn't bitch about fan service,

From someone who has been in fandoms for like, 15+ ish years atp - yeah fandom toxicity was a thing but it was usually regulated to personal beef. Now you have people being shitty over things like basic ass fandom activity, like shipping or writing fanfics.

My discord account was suspended for “Malicious content” my own server with nobody in it only 3-5 trusted bots that everyone uses in their server. Was deemed malicious and gave my entire account a suspension!!! I want answer on why I was suspended!!! @discord_support

ツイッター上では遠くから見て楽しそう言えるけど。これ会場で12時間とか拘束されるイベントなので、会社、親戚付き合いで断れない系のイベントだった側面があるわけで、ポリコレ云々は置いといて脱落したかった人々、滅ぼしたいとは思わずともついてけない人々も多かったと聞く。
