@FFmpeg Other than $$ and Development Time, is there any other meaningful contribution you would find useful?

vLLM got a major upgrade! Originally built for autoregressive text-based LLM serving, vLLM-Omni now lets you serve text, image, video, and audio models - all from a single framework. You can also serve diffusion models for fast parallel generation. 100% open-source.

The CIA just stopped publishing their World Factbook and took every page, including the archived copies of previous versions! This sucks. It was public domain, so I recovered the 2020 edition (the last one published as a zip file) and shared it to GitHub simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/5/theโ€ฆ

@FFmpeg @jungpionier_ Not only are they available, but they're fast... 5GHz, 32-core/256-thread ... Onboard accelerators ... True SMP scalability ... It's a real shame SPARC got put out to pasture. The M8 chip was a beast and only now is the x86 space catching up. (M8 launched in 2017.)
