I just went down to check on my boys, 12 and 16, before heading to bed, and to see which movie they had chosen to watch. I found them both on the couch, completely engrossed in the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice. Apparently, my older son read the book in English class. He was explaining the story to his little brother.

@WildcatsMark 1) Don't call it rugby. That's the one with the All Blacks. Same number of Pacific Islanders in both sports though. 2) Perth Bears already have some supporters, since the namesake club has been around since 1908. 3) Everyone hates Manly. Especially Bears fans.

@IsaacPunts They've had quite a few players selected for the MLB draft - usually who have come out of college. But also, former MLB players come and play on occasion (with Jackie Bradley Jr. being the only one to sign as a full time player at this point, I think).

Okay I have a legitimate question as a football guy who doesn’t watch baseball. How good at baseball are these guys actually? Like is this college level ball? Minor league level? Somewhere in between? Outside the gimmick how good is the play here?
