This week we have unveiled our Remembrance Day installation. Every child had the opportunity to make and decorate a poppy. We learnt about the importance of remembrance and why there are different coloured poppies. @PoppyLegion #remembranceday

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... Rocky is back! We are so excited to introduce our reading Advent calendar for the second year, with a little bit of help from our favourite furry friend!

We talked about what Advent means to Christians in assembly today. We also talked about our school value of kindness - we have set ourselves a challenge! Can you join us and do a kind deed each day?

#NationalOutdoorClassroomDay! As part of their whole class reading, Year 3 took the story The Colour Monster outside! They went on a hunt to find natural resources that represented each emotion of the colour monster. They created their own colour monster and sorted the emotions!

We love getting muddy! The weather doesn't stop us getting out for forest school! Today the new waterproofs have arrived. The children really enjoyed testing them out in the mud and all stayed dry!

Creating Calm: The New Sensory Room In an era where mental health and emotional well-being are prioritised in education, Knightwood Primary School has taken a significant and exciting step forward with the introduction of a new sensory room.

Thank you for supporting the harvest collection today. We had a lovely assembly and welcomed Mr and Mrs Keating from Eastleigh Basics Bank. They appreciated your generosity. The House Captains also shared the book It's a no money day by Kate Milner.

Love that all our focus on our Green Flag application for @EcoSchools is inspiring our pupils! Look at this great poster made by a Year 5 child at home! 👍

Wow! How Exciting! We are going to be following the journey of RRS Sir David Attenborough to Antarctica. The ship set off yesterday with a capsule (featuring a printed ticket with Knightwood's name on), which will be taken to Rothera Research station in Antarctica.
