Another biased and shallow article from MSM... @CNBC should be embarrassed at the low-quality of thought expressed by their journalists.
The journos claim that there is little evidence that USAID is corrupt, but there are lists upon lists citing outrageous use of US taxpayers’s dollars, most notably the funding of left-leaning news organizations (Politico and BBC). Even the most cursory research will yield a list of hundreds of USAID funded items that have no basis in humanitarianism. Nevertheless, the biased authors of the article just ignore those facts in claiming that there is little evidence that USAID is corrupt.
The article continues to explain that a network of anonymous citizen journalists share large amounts of information with large audiences that has led to public outrage against USAID. Herein lies an interesting paradox: “journalists” at main stream media outlets like CNBC offer opinions and supposition while citizen journalists that operate on platforms like X provide facts and let their audience evaluate the information. Once that started happening in mass, public opinion started to shift. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
The headline is misleading, too. Can the authors specifically name a false conspiracy theory?

-spends 8 figures on MTG
-is overpaying for MTG
-shields identity through broker who likely does not know what Tornado is
-receives $13.2M from Tornado post OFAC while in the US
-uses WETH method to obfuscate source
