Transformers from 1996-2009 was so funny, Cause you went from Beast Era with the organic animals, time travel, and all the other crazy shit Then with RID and the Unicron trilogy you had Transformers straight up going Super Saiyan and catching Pokémon Then your gritty live action blockbuster type shit with the Bayverse And then a superhero-esque show with extreme stylization in animated Nothing was alike

It sucks how the franchise used to take risk with really fresh and all-new takes that had a lot of creative effort put into them, but now they just want to constantly try to be Bay’s take over & over again instead of attempting something new. TF:O could have at least been that.

So I finished watching the first ep of Invincible season 4, pretty fun start and some nice setting up. Though they changed the dialogue with Eve’s dad and Mark, from something comedic to more serious, I think it still worked. Wish he still did the Conquest clap tho.

Now that I think about it, the series kinda ran into the same problems as many bad/modern Spider-Man stories do where they just have suffering with no real pay-off and it’s all meaningless in the end. Because you can tell it’s the writer forcing something and isn’t fun at all.

Kirkman doesn't understand that making the hero suffer repeatedly for the sake of suffering isn't good writing. At a certain point, it stops feeling like "life is hard & complicated" & starts feeling like the writer won’t allow happiness. Artificial suffering isn’t depth.

@Kryptomightguy I theorize Hasbro sees these years as something of an embarrassing phase for the brand. The expiramental phase when they just tried whatever to see what stuck. And now that they know what works for sure, they just stick with that and don’t try new things. :(

Genuinely depressing how the MCU has none of this at all. And even if they “do” it’s in a very lame way like Eternity’s situation in “Love & Thunder”. I still think the MCU Galactus could have been at least interesting if he was in the main universe and was made from the snaps.
