It’s funny how John K’s stans ramble on and on about how he’s some “misunderstood genius”, but when you ask people who were either his contemporaries or animators who used to look to him it’s like “The guy’s a washed up creep who ruined everything for the rest of us.”

John K. came along at the right time. That’s it. He didn’t invent “cartoony” or “funny.” He wasn’t even pitching R&S… they were minor characters in a completely different show concept… it was an executive who pointed them out and said, “I like them… do that!” And he did. He owes his career - one he pissed away by being a loathsome scumbag - to one of the very network suits he always claimed to despise. So… in addition to everything else, he’s a hypocrite. He surrounded himself with talented people who made his cartoons great. That’s what good producers do. He did an effective job producing great cartoons. But let’s not pretend he effectively reinvented the wheel. (awaiting the sound of the inevitable “pop” in the distance as his devoted apologists heads explode)

Felt good this weekend. Finished reading a book, actually wrote a bit of my short-story, and now I'll try to do my other New Year's Resolution of finally read "Bone" now that I can use the bookmark I had for Hitchhiker. I'll make sure to read and write more next weekend.

Outside of Truggler being a disgusting creep who should never be allowed anywhere near the community ever again, he was one of the most absurdly hateful and negative people I’ve ever seen. This mf was like 25 years old who spent most of their time online arguing with people, WILLINGLY. Who knows what went wrong in that mfs life for him to be as hateful as he was

@45_someguy Soundwave is typically military loyalty as Megatron's right-hand man. Meanwhile both Lugnut and Tarn look to him as a religious symbol but still in different ways. Tarn wants BE Megatron and walk down his path. Lugnut views him as a GOD and will do whatever he says & without fail

I also say it takes away from when Flash becomes Agent Venom. If you remove/ignore him being a bully, then him being Agent Venom isn’t as powerful as it should be. Him getting the Suit and becoming a hero is a massive moment and a chance to make up for his past actions.

It might be a hot take, but I hate when people say Peter wasn't bullied in his youth and that Flash didn't actively bully him. Sure, he was weird, but that's no excuse for what his classmates did to him. Ignoring that erases both Peter's and Flash's characters development.
