Water supply pipelines of the Kukis are severed by the UNC volunteers. Even in conflict situations, denial and sabotage of basic human rights is a gross violation of national and international human rights standards, against established law and reason. @India_NHRC

While Kuki leaders have consistently called for peace and restraint, UNC shutdown volunteers have reportedly opened indiscriminate fire on Changoubung Kuki Village using automatic weapons, spreading fear and insecurity among innocent villagers. This must stop.

This is Hengbung, a Kuki Village, where UNC volunteers manhandled women in a democratic manner, according to FNCC.

The UNC volunteers have even attempted a young girl who was standing in the verandah of her house. The video shows the building from where the young girl was attacked. While the girl is unharmed, such a direct attempt on the life of innocents is strongly reprehensible.

The armed aggressions against the Kukis in Ukhrul district has caused heavy casualties. The indiscriminate firing on civilians, including farmers and schoolgoing children needs urgent attention. The serious breach of law and order, if overlooked, can bear disastrous consequences.
