On Friday, 10/28/22, another line was added to the rich Northeast history. Northeast Area Community Police Station was renamed and dedicated to the first female Deputy Chief, Margaret “ Peggy” York.

The #LAPD Northeast Area Community Police Station was renamed in honor of the LAPD’s first female deputy chief, Margaret “Peggy” York. The renaming of the station is a testament to her steadfast tenacity and spirit. Her legacy will continue to inspire officers.
