Interested in a biomedical career that includes cardiovascular research? Apply for the CURIOUS summer research and career development program! This 8-week program at @LSUHS funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NIHLBI) includes housing, travel + $3,800 stipend.

They hypothesized that plasma hydrogen sulfide and its metabolites were also related to vascular and cognitive dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD).

Researchers from the CCDS and Center for Brain Health at LSU Health Shreveport have worked together to study hydrogen sulfide, a signaling molecule important in vascular homeostasis and a known biomarker of cardiovascular disease.
