Most people farming DEX volume are missing one simple truth: You are not making money you are feeding fees. That small 0.05% trading fee? It feels nothing at first. But repeat it enough times and it quietly eats a big part of your capital. And that is just the visible cost. The real damage comes from gas fees. Every trade, every swap, every interaction you are paying again. If you are working with small capital and trying to force volume you are basically draining your own wallet step by step. Now add bridging into the mix. Moving funds between chains sounds smart but its not free. You pay bridge fees you lose to slippage and sometimes there are hidden costs you didn’t even notice. Before you realize it a big chunk of your funds is already gone. Here is the uncomfortable truth: If your whole strategy is i will generate volume and earn more points. You are probably already in loss. And no chasing zero fee platforms won’t save you. If there is no obvious fee you are still paying: > Through worse prices (spread) > Through low liquidity > Or by taking higher risk Nothing in DeFi is truly free. Smart players don’t chase volume. They protect capital. Use low cost chains. Avoid unnecessary trades. And before every move calculate the real cost: fees + gas + slippage. Because at the end of the day volume doesn’t matter.
