“You’ve got to tell the world what you are good at and what you have achieved.” Good advice here at the @WomenEdCzech Stand Out for Success event, in concert with #IWD2020

Great colleagues in Prague this week, working with @Ibicus as an @iborganization Field Rep. Witnessed @IB_DP and @ibmyp workshops where lots of learning, connecting and reflecting took place.

#London lovers, help! My dear friend and I are meeting for a weekend in London. I’ve been there 4 times; it’s her first time, and she’ll be staying a full week so can see lots after I leave. Can you suggest things for us to do? I’d like to make it special!

"Why aren’t teachers using the resources companies sell to their districts?" Interesting analysis from Thomas Arnett using @claychristensen's idea of "Jobs to be done" theory suggests purchasers need to better understand the work that teachers actually do: bit.ly/2SCTpP2

@TeachRankin Current part of my Y2, 3 & 5 tasks right now. So excited to see the improvements they have made in knowledge and skill next week. They seem to be enjoying the process. Also interested about their reflection on their peer assessment process.

@TeachRankin Your tracking person fully agrees. Data, along with other factors, can prompt conversations but data isn't the conversation.
English

Using data to inform is good. Teachers talking & sharing is good. Chaining ourselves to data and being led by a top-down initiative to track/use it...

In the US, providing schools with money to hire data coaches did not change teachers' use of data nor their classroom practice and had no discernible impact on student achievement: bit.ly/2N6YoUy
