@GernaderJake Came across blatant wall hackers the other day on Cryo. The 2 cheaters on the team were nearly level 200 and had prior game bans on their Steam accounts. Haven’t heard anything back on the reports my entire team sent.

I’m a bit confused by this whole cheater situation in Marathon. Apparently, high ranked lobbies are just filled with blatant cheaters. It’s almost a guarantee you’ll match them. How is Bungie so quick with all the nerfs and changes, but they are just silently allowing these cheaters to go crazy week after week? They unfortunately did the same thing with cheaters in Trials, but I thought they would have learned their lesson and been ON IT for Marathon. How hard is it to have one person manually review the accounts in the high ranked lobbies? Why are they silent and why are the cheaters going unpunished? It just feels like such a huge L, and it really should be such an easy W for them

The wstr is op yeah this is true, but the knife shouldn’t be able to 2 hit through purple shields it’s meant to be your last resort not your main weapon tha you can challenge with, shotguns and the knife are both issues with the game and punish you for being aggressive.

@slimeykhan @Based_Project You have to be directly on top of someone to hit them with a knife in a game where half of the characters hav movement abilities and every gun has a 1 second or less ttk. If you are letting players get that close, you SUCK.

@LowmanLegend I’m trying to figure out where the “good story” was in EoF. It was just a Destiny flavored retelling of Halo’s Great Journey plot, and a much less interesting version at that.

See a lot of people under this saying “it’s the opposite of lightfall with a good story and bad gameplay” and I’m sitting here trying to remember the good gameplay during the lightfall campaign. That shit SUCKED it was no aspect or fragment strand and tormentors everywhere that shit was ass 😭😭😭

I think it's hilarious how perfectly acceptable it has been this entire console generation to track Steam numbers as a measure of a game's success or failure in everything from Starfield to Palworld but they draw the line at Sony's second failed live service attempt in 2 years 🤔

@th3jmanx The best strategy in ranked is to immediately find a team to fight and kill them before teams begin taking positions up in POIs. Every activity in Ranked (besides key rooms) gives chips that increase the max score cap and players are incentives to kill to increase it further.

I'm struggling to see where "Ranked" fits into Marathon. In reality, it's meant to be a mechanism to funnel the games top performing players into an isolated playlist so the remaining population can go about their time in the traditional zones. The problem is ranked does not flow well with the existing design of the maps. In the base maps, players are completing contracts, visiting POIs for specific salvages and tackling events like lockdowns and wardens. In ranked, no one cares about that because giving up your position to complete something like an anomalous sample is way too risky. This creates a stagnated stalemate where everyone wants to play passive until a safe, third party option becomes available. However, the philosophy of pitting together the top players into an "end game" competition is the right call. If I were a designer at Bungie, this is where I would break out of the extraction mold and put together some other type of competitive mode. This could be the "Trials of Osiris" of Marathon, a completely new way to play the game that matches Bungie's history of providing many avenues of excitement. CC: @asalisbury
