Absolutely delighted that Shaff has been appointed to the Lords - he'll do an amazing job.
He was out delivering thank you leaflets for me in the wind and rain when he found out, just goes to show how hard a worker he is! Truly excellent news!

After the supreme effort of campaigners, today's report is a long overdue acknowledgement that the DWP failed #WASPI women. But the recommended compensation of ยฃ1000-ยฃ2500 isn't good enough. They are owed far more. I'll continue to push for fair compensation @WASPI_Campaign

@libdemlife @UKLabour The handful of those who I have spoken to through my volunteering work that came across through non-conventional routes left their country of origin due to factors that could be mitigated through aid and development work.
The impact will be long term but its definitely a factor

If @UKLabour really want to sort the growing number of deaths in the English Channel and the migrant flows across Europe it should help tackle the issues at source.

Lots of words in the Budget yesterday, but absolutely nothing about restoring the international aid and development budget to 0.7%. In an increasingly dangerous and fractured world this shows that Labour don't care about anything beyond our borders.
