Annual UK fossil fuel subsidy estimate from the OECD Reduced Rate VAT – gas/other fuels 6bn Fuel Duty Relief 4.7bn Tax reliefs – oil/gas producers 2.7bn Climate Change Levy exemptions/reductions 1.6bn Reduced Rate VAT – electricity 0.9bn CCS 0.9bn Other 0.7bn Total 17.5bn subsidy per year.
