@greg_ashman Because the claims of shortages were lies by businesses to bring in cheap foreign labour. And oversaturation of cheap foreign labour is why young people can’t get jobs.

How can the UK simultaneously have a crisis of young people not in education or work *and* a shortage of staff in the health, care, construction and IT sectors?

@SamJRushworth @afneil You need to remigrate at least 20 million immigrants. Then there'll be jobs for all that want them.

@afneil I'd be happy to discuss with you, or write more on this. It's difficult in a tweet. I dispute your view it's got worse due to decisions of this government, but agree we've not yet done enough to turn it around and more radical action is needed on welfare, education, and health

Then please tell me two rather important matters omitted in your response: 1. Why is it getting worse under your watch (and projected to rise even further for the rest of the decade)? 2. What is the ‘fundamental change’ you propose? Thank you.

I used to teach access courses at an FE college, supporting young people who had not passed their GCSEs. I have a better idea than you about this generation and what's behind the NEET crisis in Britain today.

@LukeDempsey1099 @Nickjames40Nick It's worse, even if it does happen to them, they do mental gymnastics and blame themselves or society for the crime or act. It was the racism or a misunderstanding that caused that stabbing or rape, not the existence of a bad person.

Nasty Nige forgets it was his Brexit that created the small boats problem. Now he wants to feast on it as an issue for votes. It’s like the arsonist complaining about the heat from the flames. We need quicker processing, support for genuine refugees, and a swift return for those who have no right to be here so that they can get on with their lives and we can focus support on those who need our help. And that’s what this @UKLabour government is delivering.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

@Fx1Jonny @BROKENBRITAIN0 'Our' ancestors? Yours, maybe. Not one of my ancestors ever even set foot in another country, let alone stripmined its resources on behalf of the British elites. They were too busy being worked like dogs down coal mines. Leave the working class out of your collective guilt.

People fail to remember that 1 of the reasons we live such privileged lifestyles and have all this nice infrastructure etc. Is because we stolen so much money, produce and resources from the rest of the world. That’s an uncomfortable conversation us Brits aren’t ready for when we are so quick to denigrate “third worlders” Humble yourselves.

@CPhilpOfficial @KemiBadenoch @GBNEWS @CamillaTominey Illegal immigration isn't the problem. That's why no govt wants to actually 'stop the boats.' While all the attention's on a couple of hundred thousand illegals, no one's looking at the truly catastrophic scale of *legal* immigration.

I disagree with this on so many levels Sikhs have fought alongside us and been an important part of British culture for TWO CENTURIES The Kirpan is a ceremonial religious knife, because 1 moron used it to stab someone does not mean you should ban the Kirpan and demonise the other 99.9% of law abiding honourable Sikhs Do you think the Kirpan and Sikhs in the UK are responsible for the ever increasing number of knife attacks? NO Would you rather be surrounded by Sikhs with Kirpans or "roadmen" with knives from their mum's kitchens I know which i'd choose every single time.... I hope this doesn't happen because its a real kick in the face to Sikhs across the UK
Charlie Peters@CDP1882

Robert Jenrick has told @GBNEWS that Reform UK would ban the kirpan, the Sikh ceremonial knife, being carried in public after the murder of Henry Nowak. The differing rules on knives being allowed in public have been described as another example of two-tier justice.

I used to live in France, speak French and know the country well. France is a blatantly racist and Islamophobic nation which has completely failed to integrate its immigrant population over several decades. Therefore, its immigrants and their descendants hate the French state because they have been treated like dirt since Day 1. This leads to outbursts of violence and rioting every now and again which I have witnessed myself on several occasions. The police (themselves notoriously racist), public buildings and cars are the usual targets. People will probably blame this on "Islamism" but the fact is French Muslims are among the least religious Muslims I have come across in Europe. They are a brutalised community which in turn can act brutally because they have no hope and nothing to lose. It's also important not to generalise. There are many non Muslim immigrants and even native French who hate the state and occasionally riot. In short, France's multicultural model has failed. It invited millions of people into the country to fill the manpower shortage but then treated them with no respect. Hence you have a society which is at war with itself. The UK's multicultural model (while far from perfect) has been a bigger success because immigrants were afforded more rights. Reform UK wants to emulate the French model which will probably lead to civil war.

@AndrewHWestern Andrew supports criminals as long as they're not white. The English translation of 'Turkish barbers' is 'Albanian money-launderers.' The whole of Asda knows that - and so do you.

You can’t get a haircut online or buy a haircut in Tesco’s. That’s the difference with banking and beer 🤦‍♂️ Any tenuous link to lob a bit of racist shade around. Do you ask how non-Turkish barbers operate and whether they are legitimate? I have multiple barbers in my local town centre. I suspect they are operating because there’s upwards of 20,000 scalps to lop hair off in the area. We know you’re not the sharpest pencil in the drawer but this isn’t rocket science.
Sarah Pochin MP@SarahForRuncorn

There are 5 Turkish barber shops within a short walking distance of each other in Runcorn Old Town. Whilst banks are closing, pubs are disappearing and shops are struggling, Turkish barbers are multiplying, taking over our precious high streets. Why is no one asking questions about how these businesses are operating and whether they’re even legitimate?

@Heccles94 You're middle class. That's what makes the difference. A middle class black or Asian male will always be promoted and paid more than a working class white man. Where's the legal protection against class discrimination in the Equality Act? Oh, there isn't any. There you go, then.

As a white man I am more likely to get promoted at work, to get a pay rise, to get opportunities for career development etc. Britain is very much still a patriarchy with strong white supremacy undertones. This dangerous rhetoric needs to stop.
