@sweetbud538015 @JDDecoded @Potstirrer111 They can't, it would destroy the narrative they have made in their heads. It's not that they can't understand or don't want to care, it's because if they do either of those things they have to rethink a lot of the lectures they've been giving over the years and their own life.

I also notice that when I speaking with anyone over 70 about the state of Australia, I'm told, if its not happening to me then it's not my problem. That's when I feel that they have an attitude. It would be nice if sometimes they could agree and recognise there are a lot of problems in the Country that was generous to them.

@guin261 @Potstirrer111 I’m in the same boat, the only way I can buy a house is if I put my babies in daycare and send my wife to work full time. I make over 150k py.

@Potstirrer111 He's 40? No reason he couldn't have bought a place after 5 years experience in whatever he educated himself with. So around 2005 - wonder what he did with all his earnings. But yeh, he's screwed now, but the post tells you nothing at all about how he messed up so bad.

@SeddSezz A lot of countries have had non discriminatory conscription for decades,it seems to be a more US thing to have Males only.

🚨UK army could use 'emergency powers' to enforce conscription. The army is certainly too small to train the number of recruits required, thanks to underfunding from successive governments. Also, ECHR rules do not discriminate between male and female. Wouldn't that mean conscription would be forced upon both women and men? Our Armed Forces needs a radical revamp and extra funding, not conscripts!

#BREAKING If you and your family have worked hard you’re entire lives in order to get ahead and look after your family. Jim Chalmers is coming for you. The money sitting in your bank account that has already been taxed, will be taxed again when you pass it on to your kids in the event of your death. This is what communism looks like.

@KTrib89 @Cryptomattster @Ryandally08 @DrDunnyKruger So 15 years ago, you understand that you can't compare that to today, right? Perth properties have pretty much doubled in price over the last 5 years alone, yet I am pretty sure Gen Z's incomes have not, on top of that interest rates have risen.

@PaulAdams72 @Ethnonat54ff9 @SangitaMyska Do better, trying to use a heavily criticised and outdated report isn't helping your cause. It just makes you seem desperate to cling on to a narrative because you refuse to process reality.

This is John Ashby, the racist monster who raped a Sikh woman because he believed her to be Muslim. This image should be on the front page of every newspaper and online platform. His actions will have been fuelled by the hateful rhetoric pumped out online and normalised by hard right politicians. Damn you and your sick views. My heart is broken for the survivor of this attack. She will suffer the psychological scars of this misogynistic violence for the rest of her life. I hope he is imprisoned for the rest of his days.

@SangitaMyska @Judith54Nunn And just like all the others committing this crime I am sure most people feel like capital punishment should return. At least he wasn't just charged with a "conspiracy" charge.

@DrDunnyKruger @KTrib89 @Cryptomattster @Ryandally08 You are missing the most recent data & household income is not the same as the average income. The risk to the bank of giving a loan that absolutely requires both people to always be employed is far higher. Compare house price vs average income of a single person-different story.

@Cryptomattster @Ryandally08 @DrDunnyKruger Yep complete and utter bullshit. I bought my first house at 21, the mrs and I earning a combined income of 75k pa. If you genuinely want to get into the property market you’ll sacrifice to do it and it’s achievable. Gen Z are just a bunch of instant gratification cry babies.

@Cryptomattster @Ryandally08 @DrDunnyKruger The Government will never let house prices go down, it will cause a recession because of the amount of wealth tied up in property. The best they can do is stabilise house prices and encourage wages to catch up.

@Ryandally08 @DrDunnyKruger Sorry bro. That’s no longer possible You obviously bought a long time ago. Average house now 800-900 OUT of city .. 20% deposit 160k?? By the time young crew can save that houses would have doubled again Bring on the crash and clear out the ver leveraged greedy

@Ryandally08 @DrDunnyKruger Even with some help to get over the deposit hurdle, the price of housing has gotten so high that an average earning household cannot service the mortgage. Trying to reduce the payments by having more deposit is pointless because of the rate that house prices are increasing.

@Ryandally08 @DrDunnyKruger That is not reality anymore. This was done on purpose, high numbers of migrants were let in 23/24 to a avoid a recession and keep GDP positive. So much wealth is tied up in property that prices can't fall without causing a recession, so I wouldn't stress.

@clairebubblepop @KetamineMr Rich people hoarding wealth and British taxpayers being expected to feed, clothe, shelter, and give medical/dental to the entire world are both significant problems. They can exist at the same time.

@KetamineMr Are you dumb? Tell me how migrants make us poorer when they hoard no wealth. All the wealth has been concentrated with the richest people in the world. Billionaires have tripled their wealth in only the last few years. So yeah have a fucking think… omg!

I’ve been saying this all along. Population growth in Australia isn’t above historical levels. But of course the innumerate morons who support One Nation don’t care about the actual data. afr.com/policy/economy…

@taipan168 @DarrenAdams1967 @JaneCaro If you can't figure that out then you've got no hope. A child born usually doesn't take up a house as its parents are already in one, it doesn't immediately add numbers to the workforce and suppress wages. There are many resources available to try and understand issues better.
