@papermetroid Dark Souls 3 level design is a mechanical and creativity void. There's seldom content that's engaging or meaningful in any way. They're just hallways with loot and enemies, meant to be run through quickly so you can get to the boss

What pisses me off with clutch claw so much is that is was completely unneeded for World’s combat, they made the game feel worse for NO REASON! was Safi’s “impenetrable armor” THAT IMPORTANT THAT YOU TARNISHED THE BEST FEELING GAMEPLAY IN THE FRANCHISE?! Don’t say ignore it

@TamTamTammy3 It's by design. They wanted people to be dependent on cars, so they'd also be dependent on petrol. And by making travel and moving limited, their freedom was also suppressed

Encounters like this make fromdrones go mad cuz they require more skills than simple reaction checks, and again how is this game only designed around 1v1's? You have good hitboxes and decent hitstun on small enemies, dark souls fans are legit video game illiterate

@khitwins And also @BannedDino this is my take, some people are trying to make it all connected eith bones but its outright impossible to make it that way due to the spear attack, its more likely to be small bone plates that just connect the muscles and cartilage to connect the fingers.

@EmuLarge They likely had higher metabolism than most modern lizards. Probably something in-between monitor lizards and monotremes/marsupials

It would be so funny to me if mosasaur brains kind of “lagged” the way most modern lizards do. Like imagine a Globidens pushing around some slow and bulky heteromorph ammonite with its mouth and missing like 6 times in a row before actually biting it.

@Lol8ball Also doesn't SOTFS have some significant changes from the release version? I never hear ds2 revisionists bring this up even though it has to be a factor. There were legitimate issues with the game such as matchmaking based on Soul Memory instead of Soul Level and so on

A lot of people are missing the cultural context Dark Souls 2 was released in. Demons Souls almost didn't come out in the west due to its design philosophy, and when Dark Souls was a surprise hit people were worried they would "dumb it down" for the wider audience for its sequel.
