@lancewallnau there really are no standards in the celebrity charismatic leadership. She divorced her first husband to marry Randy White, who was her associate pastor in MD. Then, in 2007, they divorced, "to focus more on ministry," then she's walking around Rome holding hands with Benny Hinn in 2010 ... I believe the standard for leadership is "above approach." She is not. But you guys seem to think that anointing and calling is all that is important to bring about God's plan. Character is a minor issue that hopefully will work itself out. That is not how it works. Character comes first. Anyway… As always, good chatting. :-)

There is zero biblical evidence that random physical items can have "attachments." This is pure superstition that could lead to all sorts of bondage. The only precedent we have for something like this is in Acts 19:18-19, where new believers who "had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all." But this was preceded by specific confessions of their sinful practices. They had actually engaged in witchcraft and were repenting. (And there is no implication that there was "attachments" on these items.) He's also radically mishandling Ezekiel 20. In this passage, the Israelites are confronted with their sins of worshiping false gods and even sacrificing their own children to pagan deities. But he doesn't tell them to purge physical things, rather, he says HE will do the purging. In this case, God promises to "purge out the rebels from among you." In other words, God will expel the unfaithful Israelites who persist in their disobedience. There is no biblical precedent or mandate to randomly go through your stuff and throw out things you decide are "cursed." This is mysticism. There's nothing in the Bible that indicates that the devil can attach himself to physical items. It DOES say he is a liar and deceiver. This is why we must get our instructions from God's Word, and not personal mystical revelations. Don't get sidetracked with this nonsense.
