@lancewallnau OK Lance, let’s you and me have a hard conversation online, very cordial and respectful, about sexual abuse in the church at the hands of shepherds, I think it could be very helpful.

Let me say this straight because you already see it happening. When leaders avoid hard conversations, the issues don’t disappear. They just go underground and grow. When the church steps back from shaping culture, it doesn’t create neutrality. It creates a vacuum. And something else will always move in to fill that space. The question isn’t whether culture will be shaped. The question is who’s doing the shaping.

@Adam_FaithfulM That is really bad theology. Of course, his sacrifice is enough. But he is still faithful to his promises. If he breaks his promises to Abraham, then he could break his promise to you. God is faithful. (Jer. 31:35-37)

How weird that Mary took Jesus to the temple, I mean, not being Jewish and all. And how did she get in, since non-Jews were not allowed to enter the temple? And what was Joseph? A muslim?

1. Mary was abosltuly Jewish. 2. Jesus is called the "seed of David" and "Lion of Judah" after the resurrection, so yes, Jesus still identifies as a Jew. 3. Mary was absolutely Jewish. ll for him to be crucified; "some" Jews did. Thousands of Jews adored him, came to him for healing, called him Messiah, confessed faith in him, and would one day die for him. The man with the withered hand, the woman with the issue of blood, blind Bartimaeus, the woman caught in adultery, Zacchaeus, Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimithia, the 5000 who ate for free, we're all Jews who loved Yeshua and did not call for him to be crucified.

I’d rather you go with Paul than with me on this. Unfortunately, this interpretation takes Paul out of context and cherry-picks one verse. If your reading of 2 Corinthians 5:16 invalidates other clear passages of Scripture, then the interpretation — not the Bible — needs to change. The Hebrew Bible and the New Testament both clearly present Jesus as the King of the Jews, the Root of David, from the tribe of Judah, and the coming King of Israel. Scripture also prophesies a great Jewish awakening in the end times (Romans 11:25-26). So we have to ask: What is Paul actually saying here? Paul, who repeatedly called himself a Jew and an Israelite even after his conversion, is obviously not saying those identities disappear in Messiah. In context, he is talking about the new creation. When Paul persecuted the church, he knew Jesus “according to the flesh” — he saw Him as a false messiah, a rebel, a criminal who died with criminals. But now he no longer sees Him that way. He now knows Jesus as the risen Messiah, the Son of God who took away our sins and offers eternal life to the world. We no longer evaluate people (or even Jesus) by old, fleshly, external standards. We don’t look at Jesus merely as a man anymore, and we don’t look at each other in judgmental or divisive ways either. Instead, we see everything through the lens of the cross and the new creation. Responsible biblical scholars across the spectrum do not interpret this verse as meaning Jesus stopped being Jewish. That reading simply doesn’t hold up when you read the whole of Scripture. Someone would have to be predisposed against Jewish people to come up with such an interpretation. It is not in context; it is not in the text.

Those are titles that describe who He is and what He has done. He is no longer a Jew. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. — 2 Corinthians 5:16 I think I'll go with Paul over you.

That is a lie. John Hopkins never reported anything like that. Here's the truth. "Autosomal DNA studies show high levels of genetic relatedness among Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Mizrahi Jews, corresponding to a shared Middle Eastern ancestry with variations in regional admixture.[5][22] Autosomal DNA evidence supports the historical narrative of Jewish populations originating from the ancient Levant, with genetic diversity shaped by migrations, admixture, and isolation over millennia.[6][3]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_s…

First, Paul writes "seed of David" to the Romans. Why? And why in Romans is Paul aggressively teaching on God's irrevocable call on ethnic Israel? Because in 49 CE, the Jews (including Jesus-following-Jews) were exiled by Claudius from Rome. See Acts 18:1. During this time, it is believed that the Roman Gentile believers (who now had no Bible, as the Hebrew Bible was the only Bible and had been left with the Jews) developed the belief that God had eternally rejected Israel/the Jews. In 54 CE, Nero allowed Jews to return. However, the Jews were treated as second-class in the church. Paul is disturbed by this and writes Romans. In it, he seeks to reveal God's love for Israel (see Rom. 9:1-5) and lays out a theology that, while Israel has been hardened, to give time for the nations to receive the gospel (Chap. 11), the hardness will one day be removed, and all Israel will be saved. He exports the Gentiles to provoke Israel to jealousy (v. 11) and promises severe judgment if they mistreat the Jewish people through arrogance (vv. 17-23). He warns them that they will be tempted to judge Israel wrongly because of pride (v. 25), and explained that to understand, Israel was to understand a mystery. Plus, when John sees him, a resurrected, heavenly Jesus, and refers to him as the lion of Judah, that is a clear reference to his Jewish ethnicity, which he retains in eternity. He returns to ethnic Israel to fight for them (Zech 14:3-4). “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” (Rev. 5:5) Two references to his Jewish ethnicity while in heaven.

@RonSCantor According to the flesh Jesus was a Jew. But the Seed of David was by nature, the Son of God. His nature is divine. He chose to come in the flesh in the lineage of Judah. He is the “New Man” in which Jew and Gentile become new creations. We must know Him after the Spirit now

I just heard Michigan congresswoman Debbie Dingle say that she believes "that Israel has the right to exist" as if she were saying something incredibly powerful. Why is it controversial to simply say that a country has the right to be a country? The Jewish people have been in this region for 4,000 years. Does America have the right to exist? Does Belgium have the right to exist? Does China have the right to exist? Japan? Brazil? Why is it a bold take to say that you believe that Israel has the right to exist? PS... we are going to exist whether you believe we have the right or not.

More evidence that suggests that #JeremiahJohnson is a fraud. He claims to have had a vision, but most of what he says is from a musician a year earlier. And, he appears so confident that he won't get caught, he foolishly plays the musician's song at the end of the message, which led some people to listen to it. In the intro, she shares everything that Jeremiah allegedly saw in his vision. If you are still part of this his church, you have no one to blame but yourself. There's too much evidence. Thank you @JoshuaH29403304

Proof of another plagiarism where Jeremiah Johnson claims it was a vision/ prophetic revelation. It's one thing to steal someone else's work; it's another level of deception to claim that plagiarism came from a prophetic vision. youtube.com/watch?v=GywEYH…

@RonSCantor That's just surface level theft. The massive money making ministries have been able to pinch from Jesus' money bag within the 501c3 rules.2 Peter 2:14. Like they think they're gonna outsmart God then tell him OSAS/grace. It's best if they have purgatory/revival now.

This is deeply disturbing. A church paying a predator $4 million to disappear and be quiet is beyond disgusting. There must be accountability. @greglaurie needs to address this publicly. I have always had high respect for him and listened to him as a new believer in the the 80s, but the disregard for God's sheep is heartbreaking. .@cenkuygur What are you basing this nonsense on? Are you serious? I live in Israel. No one here is panicking. People are at restaurants. People are at the beach. I went on a 10-mile bike ride this morning, and there were people everywhere. We've lost about 10 people, which is tragic, but it's nothing compared to what could have happened if Iran’s illegal cluster bombs had achieved their intended purpose. My wife took the train today to Tel Aviv to have lunch with my daughter. Then she took a taxi from the train station. Does that sound like a country under attack to you? I don't want to glorify being in a war. Believe me, I am tired of it. But Iran recently killed 35,000 of their own people, and you are silent about that. Iranians are cheering on the attack because it means freedom for them. Why don't you care about the Iranian people?
Cenk Uygur@cenkuygur

Israel is getting hit pretty badly right now. They're not talking about it since they don't want anyone thinking the war is going poorly. But soon they'll switch to victim mode. You'll see all over your TV, "Poor, poor Israel is being attacked by evil Iran." Um, they started it.
