We have closed the matter of Bergview Collage…

I have been made aware of the rape case involving a 7 year old at Bergview College. I have spent the past 48 hours communicating with the Eastern Cape provincial Department of Education to get the facts of this case and what the province is doing about it. @MECGade has assured me that he is taking action and he will keep me updated. I am also taking the matter up with Minister @Senzo_Mchunu_ for him to ensure that @SAPoliceService speeds up its investigation. I assure South Africans, we are acting. I am thoroughly heartbroken by this. But the best we can do now is to ensure that justice is served for this little girl and her family.

It remains my view point that a lot was done and it’s still going to be done..

Talking to @RONALDMASINDA putting things into context in relation to my rejection of requests by different schools in the province who wish to sell liquor in schools for acclaimed different reasons… To me it goes beyond just selling liquor but a societal cancer which we must deal with it head-on..

@DBE_SA will be in our province to continue the work of government… We are humbled..
