@JFreshHockey Draft is cyclical, top 10 from the 2017-2021 classes are littered with guys that didn’t come close to their potential. I’m sure Covid era hurt development but those drafts remind me of the late 90s classes, just not very deep past like 2-3 players.

Were Kakko/Lafrenière future stars ruined by NYR development, or just not as good as hyped.

As for the #NJDevils... Hey, they won last night! -- Hard to really dig in on game details right now. The losses to BUF and PIT out of the break just solidified that this season is toast. -- What do they sell? Who's doing the selling? If GMTF and Keefe are just waiting out the season to be let go, then this is gonna be a quiet week ahead of the deadline. -- If that's the case and I'm ownership, I've made a terrible mistake. Either charge TF with selling what he can, bring the offers in and evaluate or fire him, name an interim and do the same. Should have been done weeks ago if that's the case. -- I'd guess reality lies somewhere in the middle. NJ will listen on guys without much term (Dillon, Glass, Cotter) but the heavy lifting will likely wait until the dust settles in the offseason. -- What a mess.
