@T_Oglesby22 Exactly. If you’re at $1 million and another program offers $1.1 million, that’s a real negotiating window. But if a player wants $1 million and you see him as a $500K guy, max, wish him the best, and move on.

But they didn’t. Point remains - open market dictates what someone is worth. If that coach doesn’t feel like that person is worth a million, just don’t pay it.

Cade Tyson averaged under 3 ppg at UNC. Cade Tyson averaged 20 ppg for Minnesota this season. No one would have questioned Niko Medved’s job if he had paid Tyson $1+ million.

@JonScheyerLover @GoodmanHoops I've watched a ton of Malone - Nuggets and Jokic are my favorite, so I know what he's about. Also, reputable Carolina websites had Malone on the list day 1. No panic here - greatness is on the way.

The idea that North Carolina can afford to pay Hubert Davis $5 million to leave and Arizona $9 million for Lloyd's buyout before they've given him a penny in salary or a dime for his roster seems very far fetched to me, to put it mildly.

At this point in time, there is no better job for Tommy Lloyd than @ArizonaMBB. If you don’t want to call the Wildcats a “blueblood,” that’s fine. But he’s not leaving for North Carolina or the other “blue bloods” that could open next year. Just spend a basketball weekend in Tucson to understand that.

@SIChrisMannix Most Carolina fans (myself included) don't consider Brad a realistic option. But you have to make the call. I'd guess it's a polite conversation. He'll wish them the best, and they'll move on pretty quickly.
