I’ll admit before yesterday I didn’t know there was a law on the books requiring that states draw special little racial enclaves. Sounds completely psychotic to me.

@akhivae Bigamy has been illegal in the Chinese empire for millenia. Concubinage existed, but only for the top-top-top upper class. There was an intermittent cultural practice of bigamy in the North, but legally it was treated as wife+concubine, not two wives.

Monogamy was not an East Asian norm until the last century. I knew Chinese-Canadian kids, originating from Hong Kong, who told me their grandfather's were polygamous.
Jerr@jerr_rrej

The high races are monogamous. Western Whites and East Asians. We are inherently monogamous, not taught to be this way. arabs and nigs are into harems. Also Whites in africa or who live around arabs start acting like them. White men will become polygamous because they are wiggers.

If we had stricter law, Freeman would be in jail for harassment. If we had less strict law, cops would look the other way as frat boys convinced Freeman to mind his own business via ass kickings. But we are at the anarchotyrrany minimum of the civilization=f(law) quadratic curve

The Frat Basher of UCLA: With 750k followers, Joseph Freeman has become a micro celebrity online for filming & taunting frat members. @tomoki_chien dug into Freeman and found a disturbing pattern of intimidation — and a vexing challenge for police. lamaterial.com/p/joseph-freem…

All pro choice people at their core hold this position But they will spend all day deflecting — what about rape, what about poverty, what about health conditions Bla bla bla This is why when debating pro aborts the only thing you need to ask is: if abortion was allowed for all of these situations would you then be anti abortion And the answer is obviously no. It is not about wether a child in the womb is alive or is a person or a human, it is simply about women having the ability to avoid the consequences of their own actions.

i would support abortion even if i believed life began at conception

Oral arguments today were intriguing. When will the Supreme Court rule on whether Italians are white?

@untimelysalts The ENTIRE human race? What about people in comas? What about infants that can't understand speech? What about the blind? The question is ill-formed. If they said "every human over the age of 6" the result would be very different!

@untimelysalts The question sucks because thought experiments usually assume every agent is a somewhat-rational actor, unless the problem explicitly says otherwise. Saying "the entire human race" is nonsense. Too imprecise.

@baalzamon35 The Prisoner's Dilemma doesn't ask you to consider "what if the other guy is my 6 year old son?" That's out of scope. The problem assumes adult, rational actors.

@baalzamon35 It's essentially a framing problem. Most would agree that, interpreting the problem literally ("everyone on earth"), the right choice is blue. But the problem is framed as a thought experiment, which usually implies everyone involved has agency unless it says otherwise.

The crusher is a great way of illustrating this problem. For the Red Button folks, they see this as an abstract where the crusher kills nobody until/unless they make an informed decision. Obviously, you'd get out of the way right? Hell, everyone should move, the scenario will wait long enough to get everyone out. For the Blue Button folks, they picture a helpless child or maybe even all helpless children trapped and are willing to risk their lives (on paper at least) to hold the crusher up and protect those unable or unwilling to move. Who wouldn't risk their life to save another? Or at least, WANT the courage to do so.

The whole blue and red button drama is basically this summarized If everyone clicked red, nobody would die. Those that click blue have suicidal empathy

@esjesjesj Well yeah, if you are specifically helping black people and not non-black people... that's racist.
