@cheer_wine yeah you would have to get several to actually be representative, but illinois is the only one that is racially and socioeconomically mirroring the country. only flaw (not a flaw, imo, but it is something unrepresentative) is it’s a little more urban than the nation

This tweet prompted me to come back to the fact that the closing down of “drinkers with a writing problem” was a huge tragedy and in general its shocking how the modern college experience explicitly cannot engage with alcohol-related institutions.

It’s genuinely so infuriating that people just do not believe me when I say I don’t enjoy anything but working. I literally do not enjoy a single other thing in life and utterly reducing myself just to an instrument of research is the best thing for me.
