It does not rule it out either, and makes it more likely. If you are a smart person, you look for good explanations and the most likely explanations. You don't say one thing proves it or does not prove it...it makes it more likely or less likely. You think in percentages. I think a better explanation is someone robbed him, it went bad, he was murdered, and was found in the water. The other explanation of his phone just getting stolen or magically found and he just so happened to wander away, by himself, with no friends, after his phone was stolen or gone, over to the ocean when his airbnb was, and just fell into the water on his own is much more far fetched to me and it is common sense. They also found his wallet away from his body which would be another consistent clue to a robbery gone bad. Also that he was talking with a girl, who was likely an accomplice in the whole thing because this supposed American girl is not named and suddenly nowhere to me found. It makes no sense. When you look at all the circumstances, and the fact that crime is RAMPANT in Barcelona, people are robbed hundreds of times daily in that city, robbers hang out around these places and victimize intoxicated people consistently, every night, and its a good explanation. There is also HUGE incentive for authorities to lie about the whole thing as these students bring in millions of dollars and tourism is a major part of the economy. The government has also supported importing hundreds of thousands of migrants that have increased crime dramatically and this story would completely expose what the government has been doing to the people as it is a big story that makes their policies look really bad and could trigger revolts in the population which have already been happeneing. So, I give it about a 75-80 percent chance of murder, and a 25 percent chance of falling into the Ocean being hammered or on drugs. There is also a chance he was drugged in addition to whatever was in his system. We will see how it plays out. It could be either one. I like my explanation better. You can go with yours. But nobody knows 100 percent either way...me or you.

No sé qué es peor, que nos vayan a hacer creer que el chico americano se cayó solo al mar y no tiene nada que ver con su muerte que un moro tuviese su móvil. O que asuman con normalidad que un robo es algo tan normalizado que no significa nada.
