@madebygoogle I’m not convinced by the adaptive icon theme imposed even on apps that don’t natively support it. Links to WhatsApp chats contain people’s profile photos. But they look like negatives of the photos, and the effect isn’t very good... Can you please fix this? Thanks!

@csells I also hope that, unlike VS Code, they plan to integrate spell checking. However, I think it has the potential to replace VS Code.

Has anyone tried Zed? I resisted it but am really liking it, especially how they do AI coding agents via the Agent Client Protocol. If it supported Flutter the way VSCode did, I think I'd switch.

@csells I tried it, but unfortunately I found it a bit immature, especially compared to VS Code. For example, it doesn’t yet have a comparable marketplace, and configuring extensions doesn’t seem as intuitive as in VS Code. There’s still no color preview in files like JSON.

@zeddotdev It would be nice if you implemented a spell check that uses the native Windows one!

@DartCode developer, wouldn’t you like to develop your own extension for Zed? The first stable release on Windows has also just arrived!

@DanTup @DartCode By “Zed native” I mean “developed by the same developers as Zed itself”. I’ll take a look at it…

@Marco87Dev @DartCode I'm not sure what "Zed native" means, it looks fairly official? I don't know if it's reliable (I haven't used it), though mostly it's just using the same LSP server as @DartCode. I'm not sure Zed has all the APIs for the same level of functionality as DartCode.
