@ItsRoboki Interesting. We fixed or so we thought a windows specific issue in 1.0. Would you mind filing a GitHub issue with logs etc and I will have the team take a look

@zeddotdev Firstly 0.233.10 I thought update might fix it but it also comes in 1.0.1

So there is a weird bug in @zeddotdev on windows that is annoying me I've tried to open zed couple of times and it won't Idk whenever I close zed it doesn't completely dies or maybe when I reopen it it starts some weird process But the app doesn't turns on and now it will not unless I manually kill this process

#RandomDevPost This team cooked. I'm picky with code editors and IDEs. I've lived in Neovim since college when I created Tropical Tidbits. VSCode or agentic forks of VSCode have been endlessly frustrating in terms of performance, interactions between key mappings and focused UI elements, or being vendor-locked into a specific agent harness. My first impression of Zed is that I can solve all of these problems. You can feel the effects of Rust-based UI on performance, you can bring your own agent, you can fully customize keymaps and UI behavior in a way that actually works, and its sane defaults seamlessly integrate with local environments. This is not an ad/sponsorship - I'm just genuinely excited to come across a tool this functional and adaptable to the rapidly-evolving way in which I do development work. Kudos to the team!

@aref_vc You can pass -n to open a new window on the CLI and also configure the default behavior. We’re trying to help you use the new parallel agents sidebar and not have to manage a bunch of windows but everyone’s workflow is different.

what happened to @zeddotdev with the new release ? used to have different projects running in different windows and now opening a new one closes / shuts down the others ? is there something I missed or did wrong?

@paperbenni @baseten Because some people just want an easy way to use AI in Zed, and this enables that. We have a lot to build and openrouter and others already do a great job

@zeddotdev @baseten What is the point of zed pro if what it essentially is is API credits which expire monthly? Why not open your own openrouter like thing?

@zeddotdev @baseten Yo should do some like OpenCode Go/Zen. 5h/weekly limits for open source cheap models and pay as you go for frontier models. Currently Zed pro is the less value per dollar of all subscriptions. I was with you before the change
